MLS representative again. The winner of the League Cup has been determined

In the early hours of Monday, August 26, the final of the Leagues Cup took place, featuring Columbus Crew against Los Angeles FC.

Columbus had a superior first half and justifiably took the lead towards the end of the first half, with Colombian forward Cucho Hernández putting his team ahead.

However, at the start of the second half, Los Angeles FC equalized thanks to a goal from French legend Olivier Giroud. The match seemed destined for extra time, but the decisive moment arrived in the dying minutes of the final.

In the 90+2 minute, Cucho completed his brace and restored Columbus’s lead. Los Angeles FC pressed forward in an attempt to salvage the match but conceded again just two minutes later.

Columbus Crew emerged as the winners of the Leagues Cup, adding another title to their collection. It is worth noting that Columbus is also the reigning MLS champion.
