Inter Miami's star-studded project may be about to get even bigger.

Details: According to The Athletic, MLS executives are considering a sweeping reform of roster regulations. Club owners are set to be presented with a preliminary draft for a more open and flexible salary cap system.

The core idea of the reform is to lift some restrictions and allow teams more freedom in allocating funds among their players. The limit on players with special contract status is expected to remain, and clubs will still have additional options for signing young talents.

One of the main beneficiaries could be Inter Miami. The squad already boasts Lionel Messi, Casemiro, Luis Suárez, and Rodrigo De Paul, but more flexible rules would allow management to surround this star quartet with even more big names.

If the changes are approved and implemented swiftly, Inter Miami could gain extra firepower in their hunt for the MLS Cup. For now, though, this is only an initial proposal—final decisions and a timeline for the reforms have yet to be announced.

Reminder: Messi will miss the MLS All-Star Game. The reason revealed.
