AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca expressed his frustration with the officiating following his team's 2-1 defeat to Atalanta. The loss dealt a major blow to Milan's Serie A title hopes and significantly complicated their fight for a Champions League spot.

Quote. "The referee was against Milan, without a doubt. And it's not just today. I know referees have a tough job, but I have to speak out. It's always the same against Milan; right now, Milan is not being respected.

I am not afraid to tell the truth. I have always respected the referees' work, but there are too many mistakes, and every week, they always go against the same team. The way the referee officiated today shows a lack of respect for Milan," said Fonseca.

Context. Milan, under Paulo Fonseca, has struggled to find consistent form. The club currently sits 7th in Serie A with 22 points from 14 matches. In the Champions League, Fonseca's side is in 16th place with just 9 points from 5 matches.
