Milan have agreed on the transfer of the France national team midfielder for a handsome price
French national team midfielder and Monaco leader Youssouf Fofana will continue his career at a top Serie A club.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Fofana has agreed to terms with AC Milan. The player is eager to join this club and has rejected other offers.
Milan has also reached an agreement with Monaco. The club will pay €30 million for the transfer of the 25-year-old central midfielder.
To finalize the transfer, Fofana only needs to pass a medical examination and sign the contract.
Fofana is expected to be Milan's first major signing since Paulo Fonseca was appointed as the team's head coach.
Fofana joined Monaco from Strasbourg in the winter of 2020. He has played a total of 175 matches for the Monégasques across all competitions.
This summer, Fofana was part of the French squad at Euro 2024, making substitute appearances in three matches.
