Central midfielder Manu Koné of Borussia Mönchengladbach has long been a target for wealthier clubs, and it looks increasingly likely that he will leave the Bundesliga on the final day of the transfer window.
According to SportZone, Milan and Borussia M have reached a preliminary agreement regarding the transfer. However, Milan needs to resolve issues related to financial fair play.
Koné also has offers from Roma, Monaco, and Napoli. However, the player is waiting for Milan to resolve the situation, as he prefers a move to that club.
Koné has been with Borussia M since the summer of 2021, making 86 appearances and scoring 6 goals for the German club.
It is worth noting that Milan has just learned their opponents for the league phase of the 2024/25 Champions League today.
