Midfielder Daniel Maldini from Milan will be playing on loan at Monza until the end of the season.

During the first part of the season, the midfielder was on loan at Empoli, where he didn't get enough playing time. The 22-year-old footballer played seven matches (262 minutes) on the field without scoring any goals or assists.

Interestingly, Daniel is the son of Milan and Italy legend Paolo Maldini. He has played 24 matches and scored one goal for the senior team of Rossoneri. Most of his time has been spent on loan at various Italian clubs.

The new team for the younger Maldini is currently in 11th place in the Serie A table after 19 rounds.

Milan sits third in the Serie A standings with 39 points. Today, on January 10, Stefano Pioli's team will face Atalanta in the Coppa Italia. The match kicks off at 21:00 Central European Time.

Yesterday, Milan announced the acquisition of right-back Filippo Terracciano from Verona.
