With the winter transfer window fast approaching, clubs are laying the groundwork for upcoming transfer showdowns.

Details: According to reputable journalist and insider Rudy Galetti on his social media page X, both Milan and Bologna have shown serious interest in 26-year-old Portuguese centre-back Diogo Leite of Union Berlin.

The recent Bundesliga Matchday 14 clash between Union and Leipzig marked Leite's 100th appearance in the German top flight. His reliable defensive performances have attracted attention from two Serie A clubs, both ready to compete for the Portuguese defender’s signature.

It is reported that scouts from Milan and Bologna have been monitoring Leite for quite some time, and the upcoming winter transfer window is seen as the perfect opportunity to launch formal negotiations.

Leite joined Union in 2023 from Porto for €7 million. This season, the Portuguese centre-back has played 12 matches for the club, providing one assist.

According to Transfermarkt, Diogo Leite's market value is estimated at €12 million, and his contract with Union runs until the summer of 2026, which could give potential buyers leverage to negotiate a lower fee.
