Mikel Obi Slams Enzo Fernandez Over Real Madrid Comments, Urges Commitment to Chelsea

Former John Obi Mikel has strongly responded to recent remarks made by Enzo Fernández about his desire to one day live in Madrid, sparking fresh debate about loyalty and commitment at Chelsea FC.

Speaking on the Obi Podcast, Mikel did not hold back, making it clear that representing Chelsea should come with full dedication and focus. The ex-midfielder, who enjoyed a successful spell at Stamford Bridge, stressed that the club should never be seen as a stepping stone to other European giants.

“This is Chelsea, not a stepping stone to another club,” Mikel said. “If your heart belongs to Madrid, you shouldn’t be wearing the blue shirt. At Chelsea, we played for the badge, not for a future transfer.”
