Corinna Schumacher, the wife of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, has made a rare public statement, expressing her dissatisfaction with the court’s ruling against a man who attempted to blackmail their family. According to Daily Mail, she believes the verdict was unjust.

Markus Fritsche, a trusted associate of the Schumacher family, stole confidential files containing sensitive information about Michael’s health condition. He then hired intermediaries to blackmail the family, demanding a ransom in exchange for keeping the data private.

However, the court handed Fritsche only a two-year suspended sentence, a ruling that has outraged the Schumacher family. They have since spoken out publicly, arguing that such a lenient punishment could encourage similar crimes in the future.

"We have appealed against what we consider to be the far too lenient sentence for Mr F. In my opinion, he was the mastermind behind this. What still shocks me most is the massive breach of trust. He should receive a punishment that deters any potential copycats," Corinna stated in her official declaration.
