The Formula 1 season is nearing its end, and this week we have the 2024 Mexico City Grand Prix in the World Cup.
2024 Mexico City Grand Prix: what to know about the tournament?
The Mexican Grand Prix has been part of the World Championship during the seasons of 1963-1970, 1986-1992, and 2015-2019, with a non-championship race held in 1962. All 18 official Grands Prix took place at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City.
In 2014, the Mexican Grand Prix was included in the provisional Formula 1 calendar, but it was postponed to the 2015 season due to time constraints. Starting in 2020, the name of the event was changed to the Mexico City Grand Prix to emphasize the support provided by the city’s government.
The reigning champion of this Grand Prix is Max Verstappen, who is also the most successful driver in its history with five victories. Additionally, Red Bull Racing is the most dominant team among the constructors.
