Lionel Messi's comeback remains a hot topic in Miami as fans eagerly await the return of the Argentine icon. Sidelined since March 15 due to an adductor injury sustained against Atlanta United, Messi is nearing the final stages of his recovery but remains unavailable for key fixtures.
The injury is minor but requires careful management to prevent setbacks, reports Marca. Messi missed Argentina’s recent World Cup qualifiers and has been working under a tailored program to gradually reintroduce him to full training.
During an open training session on Monday at Chase Stadium, Messi briefly joined his teammates before shifting to individual drills. He later applied ice to his left leg, a sign that his return will not be rushed.
Inter Miami is not expected to include him in the upcoming match against Philadelphia Union or the Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinal first leg against LAFC. The target date for his return is April 6 against Toronto FC, when he may finally get a few minutes on the pitch.
Until then, Messi's status remains the biggest question for a club that relies heavily on his magic.
