Messi-less again. Inter Miami suffered a crushing defeat in New York
Inter Miami suffered a crushing 4-0 defeat against New York Red Bulls in another regular MLS match. The absence of their leader and main star, Lionel Messi, was felt once again. Messi missed the last two matches due to a muscle injury, and he also didn't join his national team for the same reason.
Despite the presence of other stars like Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, the match didn't go according to their plan. In one of the early attacks, the hosts, through Lewis Morgan, opened the scoring and went into halftime with a minimal lead. Although the guests had more possession, in the beginning of the second half, the Scottish midfielder scored two more goals, and Wilkelman Carmona added another. Interestingly, Dante Vanzeir provided assists for all four goals.
