Details: In a recent interview, 28-year-old Barcelona central midfielder Frenkie de Jong was asked who he considers better: Lionel Messi or Lamine Yamal.

Frenkie admitted that both players are at the highest level, but the legendary Messi is the best in the game:

"Speaking for myself, I believe I will never again see someone reach the level of Lionel Messi. Lamine Yamal is an incredible talent—he can become the best player in the world, and he might do it several times in his career.

But I have watched Messi play since I was a child, and he is the greatest footballer to ever play the game; no other player even comes close to his level. But hopefully, Lamine Yamal will be able to become the best player in the world." said de Jong.

So far this season, de Jong has played 34 matches for Barcelona, scoring 1 goal and providing 8 assists.
