Argentina travelled to Angola for a friendly and came away with a convincing win, powered once again by the brilliance of Lionel Messi.
Details: In the first half, the Argentine star set up Lautaro Martínez for the opener. Late in the match, the roles were reversed — Lautaro turned provider, and Messi capped the night with a well-taken goal.
Notably, it was the first goal of Messi’s career scored on African soil. And with it, Argentina secured a confident victory over Angola.
Reminder: When the Argentina team bus pulled up, Angolan supporters nearly lost their minds, chanting “Messi, Messi” at the top of their lungs, desperate to catch a glimpse of the legendary Leo Messi before kickoff.
