Today, in an MLS regular-season clash, Inter Miami journeyed to face Chicago Fire.
The team's iconic star, Lionel Messi, continues his recovery from injury and did not feature on the pitch. However, his former Barcelona teammates, now plying their trade for Inter Miami, started the match from the first whistle.
The scoreline was opened as early as the 25th minute. Luis Suárez's strike was initially saved by the goalkeeper, but the ball ricocheted off a defender's head and found its way into the net. Early in the second half, the Uruguayan forward was set up perfectly and confidently slotted the ball into the corner of the goal. Less than twenty minutes later, Suárez found the back of the net once more, capitalizing on a brilliant pass just in front of goal.
The final touch was added by Robert Taylor, who, alongside Leonardo Campana, orchestrated a superb attacking move. The hosts could only respond with a goal from Georgios Koutsias in the 82nd minute.
