Messi isn't even in the top 10. New ranking of favourites for the Ballon d'Or

Goal, a reputable publication, has released its ranking of favorites for the 2024 Ballon d'Or.

The top contender is the new leader of Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham. Interestingly, Erling Haaland did not even make the top 3; he is placed fourth. Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé occupy the second and third positions, respectively.

The current Ballon d'Or holder, Lionel Messi, now playing for Inter Miami, secured the 19th spot, while Cristiano Ronaldo is at 17th. The top 10 includes Mohamed Salah, Rodri, Antoine Griezmann, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, and Julian Alvarez.

Bellingham has had an incredible start to the season with Real Madrid, contributing 17 goals and 5 assists in 21 matches across all competitions. The last English player to win this award was Michael Owen.
