The MLS regular season matches averaged 22,111 spectators in attendance, marking a historical record for the league, as reported by the official MLS website.

Impressive figures can only be partially attributed to Lionel Messi's arrival at Inter Miami. The legendary player represented the Florida-based team in 14 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 5 assists. However, Messi's direct involvement in the MLS amounted to just six matches, in which he scored one goal and recorded two assists. His MLS debut took place on August 27, 2023, which was less than two months before the conclusion of the regular season. Inter Miami failed to qualify for the MLS playoffs, with Messi's team finishing second to last in the Eastern Conference.

Nevertheless, Messi played a key role in helping Inter Miami clinch the League's Cup, marking the franchise's first-ever trophy.

It is also worth noting that bookmakers and experts confidently predict Lionel Messi winning his eighth "Ballon d'Or" in his career.
