Lionel Messi has agreed to a new contract with Inter Miami. The Argentine has decided to stay in America, but the new deal includes the option of returning to Europe.

Details: According to Marca, the new contract with the Argentine will last until the end of 2026. It is reported that this decision is driven by Messi’s desire to play in the 2026 World Cup.

Additionally, the new agreement includes a clause allowing Messi to go on loan to a European club between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 when the MLS takes a break.

Reminder: Messi’s current contract with the club runs until December 31, 2025. In the previous MLS season, Messi played 22 matches for Inter, scoring 21 goals and providing 11 assists.
