Leo Messi continues to gather top-tier footballers around him.
Details: According to renowned and respected journalist Ekrem Konur on his account on social network X, 33-year-old Atlético Madrid central midfielder Koke could soon become Lionel Messi’s teammate.
Reports indicate that Inter Miami are seriously targeting Koke with an offer this coming summer, as the Spaniard’s contract with Los Colchoneros is set to expire. The need for this transfer was personally voiced by Lionel Messi, who, in addition to Koke, also wants to see Antoine Griezmann in Miami.
While an agreement with Griezmann is expected to be more challenging, Koke’s transfer is seen as a very realistic possibility.
Notably, Koke is a product of Atlético Madrid’s academy, and this move could mark the first club switch of his entire career.
Koke was promoted to Atlético Madrid’s first team back in 2011. He has made 706 appearances for Los Colchoneros, scoring 49 goals and providing 121 assists.
