Legendary Lionel Messi has been excelling at Inter Miami, but his new contract with the club reportedly includes an intriguing clause.

Details: According to El Nacional, Messi's new contract, which is set to run until the summer of 2026, will include a provision allowing him to leave the U.S. on loan for a few months during the MLS offseason.

Messi has long expressed dissatisfaction with how his departure from Barcelona unfolded and has considered returning, even for a brief period. However, he has not yet made a final decision.

It is reported that Messi is contemplating a return to Barcelona for a few months to play at the renovated Camp Nou and gain top-level match fitness ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

His hesitation stems partly from the logistical challenges—either bringing his family to Barcelona for just two months or leaving them behind in Miami.

Reminder: Earlier reports suggested that MLS could block Neymar's transfer from Al-Hilal due to his high salary demands.
