Messi and Suarez saved Inter Miami from defeat in the CONCACAF Champions Cup

On the night of March 7th to March 8th, Inter Miami played the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Round of 16 away against Nashville.

As early as the 4th minute, Nashville took the lead with a precise strike from Jacob Shaffelburg, and in the 47th minute, the Canadian forward secured a brace.

However, Inter Miami managed to avoid defeat thanks to goals from their stars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. In the 52nd minute, the Argentine forward scored with a shot from outside the penalty area, and in the fifth minute of added time, the Uruguayan accurately headed the ball in after a delivery from Sergio Busquets.

In another match of the day in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, Mexican side Monterrey won away against Cincinnati with a score of 1:0.

The second leg in Miami is scheduled for the night of March 13th to March 14th.
