The latest round of CONCACAF Champions Cup 2025 action took place overnight, with the standout match being Inter Miami’s second-leg clash against Sporting Kansas City.

Details: After securing a 1-0 away win in the first leg, Inter Miami completed the job with a convincing 3-1 victory at home.

Once again, Lionel Messi was the key figure, opening the scoring in the 19th minute after an assist from Luis Suárez. Before halftime, Javier Mascherano’s side extended their lead—Tadeo Allende found the net following a Jordi Alba assist, and Suárez made it 3-0 shortly after. The visitors managed to pull one back in the 63rd minute.

For Messi, this was his second goal of the season. In three matches so far, he has also registered two assists.

In the next round, Inter Miami will face Jamaican club Cavalier.

Reminder: Yesterday, reports surfaced that Lionel Messi is considering a return to Barcelona this summer.
