Messi and Suárez both bag braces as Inter Miami end winless run in MLS

On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, May 29, Inter Miami played another regular season MLS match against Club de Foot Montréal.
Heading into this fixture, the Herons were in the midst of a four-game winless streak: two defeats and two draws. They had managed just one victory in their previous eight outings. However, this time they finally managed to put an end to their rough patch.
Inter Miami's biggest stars, Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, stepped up to the plate. In the first half, it was the Argentine who opened the scoring. The second half was far more eventful: first, the Uruguayan bagged a brace, and in the dying minutes, Messi slotted home his second of the night. In between, Montréal also found the net twice.
In the end, Inter Miami confidently dispatched the Canadian side with a 4-2 victory, snapping their four-match winless streak. The next game for the team is scheduled for Sunday night, June 1, against Columbus Crew.
Right now, Mascherano’s side sits on 26 points from 15 regular season matches, holding sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
