Messi and Lozano Among 26 Players Named to 2025 MLS All-Star Team

Lionel Messi, Hirving "Chucky" Lozano, Evander and Denis Bouanga headline the 26-man MLS roster for the 2025 All-Star Game, set to face LIGA MX stars on July 23 at Austin’s Q2 Stadium. The match will air live on MLS Season Pass in English, Spanish and French.
The squad was selected through a mix of fan/media/player voting (12), coach selections by Nico Estévez (12), and two commissioner picks. Vancouver leads all clubs with four players, while expansion side San Diego FC boasts three All-Stars in their debut season. Fifteen players will make their first All-Star appearance, including Patrick Agyemang, Alex Freeman, Jeppe Tverskov and Philip Zinckernagel.
Veterans like Diego Rossi (four-time All-Star), Denis Bouanga, Jakob Glesnes and Miles Robinson (three each) bring experience to the squad. Sixteen countries are represented, with the USA (9) and Denmark (3) leading the way.
