Memphis Depay Criticizes Football Officials Over Overloaded Schedule

Dutch footballer Memphis Depay, currently playing for Corinthians in Brazil, has spoken out about the overly demanding schedules faced by professional footballers.

Details: The former Manchester United and Barcelona forward believes that too much is being asked of players.

Quote:

“A schedule with 11 months of football is very strange. It’s not just physical exhaustion but psychological fatigue as well. A lot is expected from footballers.

I think an ordinary person with a regular job doesn’t understand what’s demanded of us. It’s tough.”

Depay has recorded 4 goals and 4 assists in 11 matches for Corinthians.

Reminder: Recently, a Costa Rican club announced legal action against FIFA to secure a spot in the revamped FIFA Club World Cup.
