Memphis Depay: "Brasileirão is one of the top five leagues in the world"
The talented forward Memphis Depay, currently playing for "Corinthians," has been called back to the Netherlands national team after an eight-month absence.
After participating in "Timao's" victory over "Palmeiras" last Sunday, the 31-year-old striker headed to his home country on a private jet to quickly join Ronald Koeman's squad.
In an interview with the Dutch press, published by Uol, Depay highlighted the physical demands of Brazilian football, calling it "one of the top five leagues in the world." According to the striker, the pace of matches in Brazil is so intense that he loses up to three kilograms per game.
The last time Depay was called up to the Netherlands national team was in 2024, before his move to "Corinthians." His return now coincides with a successful period in South American football, where he has found consistency and become a key figure.
Reminder: The Corinthians player Memphis Depay received a court sentence in Monaco for driving under the influence.
