Meeting a legend. Szczęsny shows how his son plays with Thierry Henry after El Clasico

Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny took to Instagram to share a touching story about his son Liam meeting Wojciech's own childhood idol, Thierry Henry, and even playing football with him.
In the caption to his video, Szczęsny admitted he fell in love with football as a kid, watching the legendary Invincibles of Arsenal, led by none other than Henry. Later, Wojciech joined Arsenal himself and, to his delight, had the chance to play alongside Thierry.
"I fell in love with football as a kid watching The Invincibles team and #ThierryHenry was always my biggest idol. 10 years later I played with Thierry for our beloved Arsenal. Then, yesterday I got to see my son kick a ball around with Thierry after #ElClasico that I played in after having retired from football. Livin’ la vida loca," Szczęsny wrote.
To recap, Wojciech Szczęsny joined Barcelona after he had already ended his playing career. The Polish keeper retired in the summer of 2024 after his contract with Juventus expired. But in the autumn, he came out of retirement when Barcelona called, needing a goalkeeper after Marc-André ter Stegen suffered an injury.
