Medvedev secured a spot in the fourth round of the French Open after a tough match against Machac
The second Major of the year, the French Open, is currently taking place in Paris. Today, the third round matches are being played in the men's draw, and one of the most interesting duels was between Machac and Medvedev.
The players spent three and a half hours on the court, during which Daniil served 14 aces and committed nine double faults. The first two sets were won by the experienced Medvedev — 7:6 and 7:5. However, the third set was a huge surprise. Machac completely dominated the court, especially at the net, and convincingly won 6:1.
The decisive fourth set saw a break at the very last moment, allowing Medvedev to close out the match and advance to the round of 16.
