McGregor named the five greatest fighters in MMA history. Who did Conor single out?
Conor McGregor is widely regarded as one of the most famous mixed martial artists in history. He made UFC history as the first-ever double champion, simultaneously holding titles in two weight classes - featherweight and lightweight. However, when asked to name the greatest MMA fighters of all time, the Irishman singled out five legends.
Details: During an interview with MMA Fighting, McGregor was asked who he considers the greatest fighters in MMA history. After a brief moment of reflection, he named Rickson Gracie and his brother Royce, followed by Ken Shamrock and Chuck Liddell. When he realized he had one more spot to fill, he mentioned Bas Rutten.

The first from Europe. What a cool guy! And he's still in great shape. Bas, I’m always rooting for you, bro! I see you! I see you! I'm with you, man!"
Reminder: At the end of June, Conor McGregor was set to return to the octagon against American Michael Chandler at UFC 303. However, the bout was canceled due to a foot injury McGregor sustained.
The Irishman has not competed in MMA since the summer of 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier at UFC 263, suffering a leg break during the fight.
