Despite the Algerian club qualifying for the group stage of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League, the Tunisian coach is reportedly keen to leave.

According to reports, Khaled Ben Yahia has informed the MC Alger management of his intention to leave. This decision comes following the team’s qualification against Rangers International of Nigeria, at the end of the second-leg match of the second qualifying round of the 2026–2027 CAF Champions League.

Khaled Ben Yahia’s dissatisfaction is reportedly linked to the behaviour of certain supporters towards him. During the first leg played in Nigeria against Rangers International, fans allegedly attempted to force their way into the changing rooms with the aim of attacking him.

This incident is said to have contributed to undermining the Tunisian manager’s position, and he is now awaiting a decision from the MC Alger management.
