Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé expresses a desire to play for the French national team in the upcoming Olympics in Paris this summer. The president of the organizing committee for the 2024 Olympic Games, Tony Estanguet, revealed this information.

The French national team coach, Didier Deschamps, stated that he sees no issue with Mbappé playing for the Olympic team, which will be led by Thierry Henry at the Olympics. Deschamps emphasized that if Mbappé has the desire and the opportunity, there would be no problems. He added that the common goal is to ensure that Thierry Henry has a competitive team for the tournament.

It's worth noting that Olympic football teams can include players up to the age of 23, with the allowance of up to three players older than that age in the squad.

Certainly, the prospect of seeing Mbappé at the Olympics may also depend on the ongoing transfer saga involving the player, whose contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in the summer. Real Madrid is considered the main favorite to sign Mbappé, but Liverpool is also hopeful of securing his services. PSG, after losing Messi and Neymar, is determined to make every effort to retain their star player.

It was previously reported that Kylian Mbappé could potentially lose a minimum of 80 million euros.
