The Norwegian goal-scoring sensation of Manchester City, Erling Haaland, is Barcelona's dream. The Catalan club is hopeful that they will be able to acquire Haaland in the summer of 2025.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona's president Joan Laporta has excellent relations with Haaland's agent, Rafaela Pimenta. This could significantly facilitate negotiations regarding a contract with the footballer.

As per the publication, Haaland had already given a "yes" to Barcelona's offer in the summer of 2022. However, at that time, the Spanish champions could not afford this transfer due to financial reasons.

Barcelona believes that by the summer of 2025, they will be able to overcome the economic crisis and will have the opportunity to purchase Haaland.

In Laporta's opinion, the transfer of Haaland is essential for Barcelona to compete with Real Madrid both on the field and in terms of image, especially after Kylian Mbappé's move to the Madrid club.
