Mbappé surpasses Henry in UEFA Champions League goals

Manchester City is hosting Real Madrid at the Etihad in the playoff round for a spot in the Champions League Round of 16.
The hosts took the lead in the 19th minute thanks to a precise strike from Erling Haaland. However, Los Blancos equalized in the second half through Kylian Mbappé.
For Mbappé, this was his 52nd goal in the UEFA Champions League, all of which have come in the main phase of the tournament (group stage or knockout rounds).
With this goal, Mbappé has now surpassed the legendary Thierry Henry (51 goals) on the all-time Champions League scoring list. Only one Frenchman remains ahead of him: 2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema, who has netted 90 goals in the competition.
The all-time top scorer in the tournament remains Cristiano Ronaldo, with 140 goals to his name.
