Mbappe completed a hat-trick. PSG demolished Montpellier, ending their winless streak in the league

PSG visited Montpellier for the 26th round match of the French Ligue 1. The Parisians hadn't won in three consecutive league matches, so they were highly motivated to secure three points.

The first half was entertaining and goal-filled. PSG scored two quick goals through Mbappé and Vitinha. It seemed like the result was secure, but Montpellier didn't want to give up in front of their home fans just yet. The hosts managed to equalize with two goals, and the teams went into halftime with a draw.

But in the second half of the game, the Parisian grand was unstoppable. The guests scored four more goals: one accurate shot each credited to Kang-in Lee and Nuno Mendes, and the magnificent Mbappé completed a hat-trick.

PSG now has 59 points and has pulled 12 points clear of their nearest pursuer. Montpellier sits in 14th position.
