Maxi Araújo could move to a top Italian club!
Turin giants Juventus have shown serious interest in Sporting Lisbon wide player Maximiliano Araújo, viewing him as a priority target to strengthen the squad.
Details: According to leading sports publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian club's scouting department has been closely monitoring the 26-year-old Uruguayan's performances in recent weeks and has prepared overwhelmingly positive analytical reports.
Araújo's versatility and ability to effectively cover positions on the left flank have attracted serious attention from the Bianconeri's hierarchy. The club is hoping to complete a permanent transfer for the player as early as January, avoiding a loan deal. Given his high-intensity style of play and experience on the international stage, the Uruguayan defender could become a key piece in Juventus' defensive rebuild during the second half of the season.
In the 2026/27 season, Araújo has made 11 appearances for Sporting, scoring one goal and providing two assists. The player is valued at €40 million, and his contract runs until the summer of 2030.
