Icardi claimed that Wanda cheated on him with Federico Fazio, a former Argentine national team player who participated in the 2018 World Cup.

According to journalists, the incident with Fazio, among other things, led to Icardi's departure from the Argentine national team. It is also noted that this infidelity occurred before the infamous "Wandagate" in 2021, when Wanda publicly accused Mauro of cheating on her with China Suarez.
