Sevilla’s new loan signing Neal Maupay has said he is eager to form an attacking partnership with Nigerian striker Akor Adams. The 29-year-old joined the Spanish club from Marseille with an option to buy after limited game time in France.
Maupay admitted his lack of match sharpness but promised full commitment. “It’s been difficult because I haven’t played much, but I'm looking to bring my best to Sevilla,” he said.
The former Brighton striker believes he can complement Adams’ style. “We can play together…We are different, and that can help the team,” Maupay added.
Sevilla coach Matías Almeyda may switch to two strikers. Maupay could debut against Mallorca on Monday.
