Mattel announces release of Barbie doll featuring NBA superstar LeBron James

NBA legend LeBron James has received his very own personalized Barbie doll, becoming the first male professional athlete to be honored as a Kenbassador. The release of the LeBron-themed Barbie figure was officially announced by the doll manufacturer, Mattel.

The LeBron James doll will be dressed in a blue and white varsity jacket with LeBron's initials. It will also feature a variety of accessories: sunglasses, headphones, a baseball cap, sneakers, a gold watch, and a chest pocket. Naturally, all these items are removable and wearable.

"As a child, I was fortunate to have role models who not only inspired me but showed me what could be achieved through hard work and dedication. Today, as an adult, I understand how important it is for young people to have positive role models. That's why it's an honor for me to work with Barbie," LeBron shared his thoughts.

The LeBron Barbie doll will be released in collaboration with the LeBron James Family Foundation. It will be available for purchase in the U.S. starting Monday. The price is quite high at $75, but it is sure to become a coveted item for collectors.
