The Franco-Cameroonian midfielder will play for the Ligue 1 club during the 2026–2027 season.

Mathis Amougou is thus making a temporary move within the French league. The 20-year-old midfielder, who made his debut in the French top flight for Saint-Étienne during the 2024–2025 season, will be representing Toulouse FC this season.

The Cameroonian-born player has been loaned out for a season by RC Strasbourg. Mathis Amougou has experience at the highest level. After making his debut for Saint-Étienne in Ligue 1, he joined Chelsea in the Premier League before returning to France to play for RC Strasbourg.

At his presentation, Mathis Amougou outlined his ambitions for his new team.

“I’m a midfielder who fights for his team, and that’s what I intend to do here to help my team-mates. I’m very happy to be joining TéFéCé and I’m already looking forward to meeting our supporters and taking my first steps at the Stadium!”
