During the match between Ceuta and Almería, tragedy struck—one of the spectators suffered a fatal heart attack right in the stands of the Alfonso Murube Stadium. The game was halted with the score at 1-1.
Reports indicate that the man fell ill during the match, prompting the medical team to immediately begin resuscitation efforts. The match was stopped for approximately ten minutes to allow emergency specialists to provide urgent care.
Officers from the National Police, the Red Cross, and the 061 emergency medical service responded swiftly to the scene. The victim was carried out of the stadium and prepared for transport to the university hospital, but despite all efforts by the medical staff, his life could not be saved—he died on the way.
