Martínez fires back at Scholes in war of words – what happened?

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes made some harsh comments about current defender Lisandro Martínez, and the Argentine was quick to respond.

Details: During a punditry appearance, Scholes stated that even when fully fit, Martínez is not good enough to help United win the Premier League. The Argentine, who has plenty of time for online exchanges due to his ACL injury, fired back on Instagram with a pointed response:

"This jinx guy is really hurting....You put him in Argentina, and he wouldn’t survive."

Reminder: Earlier, former United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel expressed hope that the club would be more meticulous in the transfer market under Rúben Amorim.
