Maresca tells off everyone who doubted Chelsea's Champions League qualification

For the first time since 2023, London’s Chelsea will play in the Champions League. Although this was only secured in the final round thanks to their rivals’ slip-ups, head coach Enzo Maresca is absolutely thrilled.

Details: The Chelsea boss didn’t mince words, directly sending a message to all those who doubted the team—those who claimed the squad lacked experience or offered other “arguments” for why the “Blues” wouldn’t make it to the Champions League.

Quote: “The doubts came from outside. All those who claim to have the answers or the truth were saying we’re too young, we’re not good enough. They were just waiting for Aston Villa to drop points so we could get into the Champions League.

They said we couldn’t win on this pitch because we’re too young, because we lack experience. Unfortunately for them, they were all wrong. All those who claim to know everything and have all the answers. How do you say it in English? F off, because these players deserve it. Their efforts have just been fantastic,” Maresca told The Athletic.
