Maresca assesses Nkunku’s future at Chelsea

Christopher Nkunku’s time at Chelsea has been hampered by various issues, including injuries, preventing him from showcasing his best form. Rumors have circulated about a potential departure from the Blues, but Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has a different perspective.

Details: The Chelsea manager emphasized that he would like Nkunku to stay with the team. However, he also noted that if any player expresses dissatisfaction with their role and requests to leave, he would not stand in their way.

Quote: “We like Nkunku, and we want him to stay here. There will always be players who are unhappy, and some of them will ask to leave in January. I’m not sure if Nkunku will be among them or someone else, but we want them to stay here.

If dissatisfied players knock on the door and say they want to leave, I won’t respond with, ‘No, you must stay here, 100 percent.’ If they want to leave, then the best solution for everyone is for those unhappy players to go,” Maresca stated.

Reminder: Earlier reports suggested that Nkunku was considering leaving Chelsea.
