Marco Asensio the person of the day at the Premier League according to Dailysports

On Saturday, February 22, seven matches took place as part of the 26th round of the English Premier League. The matchday concluded with Aston Villa’s clash against Chelsea, which ended in a 2-1 victory for Unai Emery’s side.

The Blues took the lead in the 9th minute thanks to a precise strike from Enzo Fernández. However, in the second half, the Birmingham-based team managed to turn the game around and secure the win. Villa’s winter signings played a crucial role, with Marco Asensio being named Player of the Day by Dailysports.

The Spaniard scored a brace, both times assisted by another new arrival, Marcus Rashford. Notably, Asensio’s previous goal came four months ago, when he found the net for PSG against Strasbourg. The winger is currently on loan at Aston Villa until the summer, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value stands at €20 million.
