Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen fiercely reacted to online information suggesting that his split with his wife was due to her infidelity. The German published a lengthy post on his social media pages explaining that all these rumors are false.

Ter Stegen was outraged that journalists from Catalunya Radio & 3Cat Group not only invaded his private life but also spread false information about it.

“Journalists Juliana Canet, Roger Carandell and Marta Montaner are liars that have distributed false news, offending my wife Daniela and her reputation publicly in a very bad manner. There has not been any infidelity of Daniela. No third person involved. Fact. As communicated, Dani and I have decided to go different ways in good circumstances where we maintain trustful communication,” stated ter Stegen.
