El-Hadji Diouf shares similarities with his compatriot Sadio Mane. The former Senegalese international discussed his ties with the Al-Nassr striker.

Diouf represented Senegal internationally before being succeeded by Mane. But the two Senegalese players have strong ties, and Sadio Mane sees his predecessor on the national team as his idol.

"Mane has always said that I was his idol. He started from less than nothing, just like me, and today we are national heroes," said El-Hadji Diouf. The former striker insists that his relationship with his younger brother is excellent.

"We have a big brother, little brother relationship. The legacy was heavy, but it was easy for him to carry. He has respect and sympathy for me. We have Senegal in our hearts, whatever the field. And Sadio Mane has made tremendous progress in everything," he said.
