The Brazilian could make a step up as early as this winter.

Details: According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are seriously considering 23-year-old Brazilian defender Murillo from Nottingham Forest as a winter reinforcement.

The report states that Manchester United’s management see Murillo as a quality replacement for Harry Maguire, who is set to leave the club in the summer. If they are unable to sign Murillo this winter, the Red Devils are prepared to revisit the deal in the summer transfer window.

Murillo joined Nottingham Forest in 2023 from Corinthians for €12 million. He has made 96 appearances for the club, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists.

This season, Murillo has played 21 matches for the club, finding the net once.

Murillo’s current contract with Nottingham runs until 2029, and his market value is estimated at €55 million by Transfermarkt.
