Manchester United vs Manchester City: what you need to know about the match

Manchester United is currently in the lower part of the Premier League standings. The team is in 13th place with 37 points after 30 rounds. Theoretically, they can still contend for European competitions, trailing the sixth position by 13 points with eight rounds to go. However, the team's form leaves much to be desired: in the last five matches, they have drawn twice, won twice, and lost once.

Manchester City is also pursuing an important goal — qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. The Citizens have accumulated 51 points after 30 rounds and are in fifth place in the table. They are one point behind the fourth place and also one point clear of the sixth position. The top of the table is very congested, making Champions League qualification challenging. Nevertheless, Manchester City's form is slightly better than United's: in the last five matches, they have won three times, lost once, and drawn once.
