Manchester United hosted Burnley at Old Trafford in the 35th round of the English Premier League.

Both teams engaged in an evenly contested and mutually sharp first half, yet failed to find the net. The territorial advantage leaned towards the "Red Devils," but the guests occasionally posed more dangerous attacks, and Andre Onana showcased his skill between the posts several times.

In the second half, the hosts continued to press on Burnley's goal and eventually broke through. In the 79th minute, Anthony netted his third goal of the season and first in the Premier League. The Brazilian adeptly capitalized on a slip-up by a Burnley defender, Berge.

Just when it seemed that United would secure the win, disorganized defending by the "Red Devils" led to a penalty in their own box - Onana inadvertently made contact with the opponent's head in United's penalty area. Zecki Amdouni successfully converted the penalty.

Eric ten Hag's side amassed 54 points. They trail fourth-placed Aston Villa by 12 points with 4 rounds remaining in the championship. On May 6th, the Mancunians will face Crystal Palace. Burnley sits in the penultimate 19th position.
