For a long time, Manchester United were chasing Crystal Palace winger Michael Oliseh, but then he left for Bayern Munich. However, the Mancunians have found a new reinforcement for the wing-back position in Oliver Glasner's squad.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils are ready to activate the clause in Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze's contract, which is worth approximately £70million.

This is believed to happen in the summer of 2025, as that is the period of time Manchester United are scheduled to strengthen the winger position, as well as the defender and midfielder.

Notably, Eagles boss Steve Parish expressed surprise that there was little or no attempt to sign him last window.

It will be recalled that in addition to Eze, Manchester United are set to continue trying to sign Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite next summer.
